History

Caulfield Park's significance in the past is highlighted by the fact that the Prime Minister of Australia,  Billy Hughes opened it in December 1921.
For many years it was the home of the Caulfield Band and they could be heard playing here of a weekend, even in the eighties.  We would like to welcome them back for the summer concerts!

Opened in 1921

This plaque commemorates the opening of this significant asset.
